Hello and Happy Friday!

This week we continued to learn through the eyes of the children, by focusing on what interests and engages them. The robots were such a big hit last week that we kept them out and added a few more magnetic materials for them to use. A couple weeks ago we took our castle out of the closet for when we learned about Dragons and Unicorns and it has been a hit with the kids ever since as they continue to let their imagination and creativity run free.

The kids have loved painting so we switched up are art center by adding finger paints and boy was it messy, but they had fun.

New Tonka Trucks were added to the playground, the kids have been putting their construction skills to work by building bee traps and more using the Tonka dump trucks and even washing them after. They even made some chocolate milk and soup in the mud kitchen as we learned how to use the rain cistern since we finally got rain.
We listened to some Spanish music and added castanets to music center. The kids even shared some Spanish words they knew.
Last week the kids were pretending to be hair dressers in dramatic play, so we took it one step further and added pretended scissors from our doctor kit, pool noodles for curlers, and empty bottles for shampoo and conditioner. They are some of the best hairdressers around if you need your hair done.
