Hello from Grand Teton! This week we learned about colors and counting! We read some great books like “Brown Bear Brown Bear”, “Rainbow Fish: Colors”, and “Black On White”. We sang a couple color songs, and a few counting songs like “5 Little Monkeys Swinging From The Tree” and “5 Green and Speckled Frogs”
We practiced our fine motor skills with some free-coloring with markers! We did our best to hold the markers, but some of us needed help. You could see the gears moving in our brains while we watched the markers hit the paper. We all really enjoyed this activity!
We also did some partner painting! We sat together with a friend and finger-painted on some shiny silver and gold paper. We really enjoyed looking at our reflections through the paper, too!
We worked some more on our social development during a group game of peek-a-boo. We used different color handkerchiefs so that we could also learn and sing about colors. That was a blast! We were all full of smiles and giggles the whole time!
Needless to say, we had a fun-packed week and look forward to next week! Have a great weekend!
