This week we talked about dental health and Chinese New Year.

As a group, we taste tested some Chinese noodles, they were a big hit!

Annie brought in some wonderful stuffed animals that represent Chinese New Year, and were actually from China! Thank you to Annie’s family.

At the fine motor station, we made playdough molars and used tweezers to take out “cavities”

At the ABC station, we worked on forming the letter “P” (this Chinese New Year is the year of the pig). We also cut and glued pictures on the “P” that began with the P sound.

At the art center, we decorated Valentine bags for our Valentine cards.

At the 123 station, we added and subtracted teeth.

We pretended to be dentists in dramatic play.

We also enjoyed some books related to our theme in the library.

Our Valentine bags will be hanging on our bulletin board in the classroom. Feel free to start bringing in Valentine cards next week (Feb 11th)!

Have a great weekend!
