Hello Parkside families,

I “volunteered” to write the blog this week while Jen is on a much needed, and deserved vacation with her family. I’m proud to say, although we missed Jen, we managers and teachers did a great job holding down the fort. We even had an unexpected visit from our licensor and we received an A+ from her!

You may have seen our giving tree in the lobby, please feel free to take a tag.

Weather-wise it has been quite a mixed bag this week. Please have extra gloves, socks, and pants or your child. The snow has been very wet, and amidst the snow, the kids have found some great puddles.

Our older classrooms have been practicing their holiday songs. Miss Gail is also working on a holiday fingerplay in literacy which we will incorporate into the holiday concert. Miss Rosanne will have the children working on “set decorations” for the concert in art class. Our concert will be a collaborative effort this year with all our specialists.

We hope to send out copies of the holiday songs so you can practice at home.

The week of the 10th we will be making cookies with Jen, please check with your child’s teacher for the specific day and time.
