Hello from Grand Teton!
This week our theme was music and movement Fall style. We sang Fall songs like, “All the Leaves are Falling Down,” “Jingle Jangle Scarecrow,” and “Can You Hoot Like an Owl?” We played with our baby dolls and checked out our reflection in the mirror as we had tummy time.
We learned about rhythm as we played with our musical shakers and drums fast and slow. We worked together flapping our parachute up and down. We did an “I Love You ritual” about two blackbirds.
We have also been on the move! We have been making our arms and legs move as we use them to hit the dangling toys under our floor gym. We have been jumping with our teacher’s help and in the jumperoo. We have been working on sitting independently and learning to climb over pillows and the side of the gross motor mat as we make our own obstacle course.
Some of the books we read were, “Making Music,” “We Fall Down,” and “The Animal Bop Won’t Stop!”
Have a great weekend!
