Happy New Year from Grand Teton! This week we started learning about “Winter in Maine.” We talked about different animals we see in Maine in the winter. We read, “Animals in Fall” and learned about how they prepare for winter. We learned that some animals go south, some gather up food, some change color and some hibernate. We sang a song about how squirrels gather nuts to prepare for the winter. Our teacher showed us the sign for “squirrel”. We also sang the hibernation song. We played with a stuffed deer, moose and bear. We had fun with our puppets too. Have a great weekend!
