Hello Olympic families and friends!

What a fantastic week we had in Olympic! We learned all about birds. As the birds start migrating back to Maine this spring, we hope to see more and more beautiful birds outside our homes and classroom.

Here’s a glance at our work boards:

Fine motor: We made cheerio bird feeders to feed those hungry birds coming back to our home state.

Science: Labeling the parts of a bird by sounding them out.

Vocabulary: We practiced our May sight words!

Art: We made a bird with feathers.

ABC: Putting our “Birds” book together and illustrating it.

Blocks: Our friends built nests for our birds.

Game: We put together bird puzzles using letter sounds and pictures.

123: We practiced our number knowledge by matching numbers with their written words, and correct number of dots.

Writing center: Our friends followed directions and finished drawing and coloring a bird picture.

Sensory Bin: We played with bird seed and talked about the five senses.
