This week in Art Class, we experimented with a new painting technique. We used some plastic paint scrapers to move paint around on our papers in a new way. This technique creates many new and exciting textures! Before we got started with painting, we looked at some artwork from American artist Sharon Ryder. Sharon was born in Chile, but moved to America as a child. Sharon turned to art and painting whenever she felt lonely or missed Chile. Her artwork is colorful, abstract, and full of textures that inspired our paintings today!
