This week was the Week of the Young Child!
We participated in many child centered “extra activities” this week!
ABC: We began with four “sight words” and have added four more for our beginner readers. We also spelled them with magnet letters.
123: We traced numbers 1, 2, 3, & 4 and printed our own with adding “glass raindrops” to match quantity.
Art: We painted flowers and trees using three colors of paint and different heights.
Dramatic Play: We dressed up for playing in the rain and mud puddles.
Game: We matched pattern blocks to fit into flower petals.
Drawing: We created flower patterns with circles, squares and triangles.
Blocks: We made wooden shelters to protect us from the rain.
Sand: We found hidden purple flowers!
Vocabulary: We printed and learned the words, ingredients, instruments, precipitation, toddler and youngster.
Water: We made it rain with different objects in the water table.
On Monday we used musicle instruments, worked with Miss Trudi disecting eggs, and enjoyed Mr. Chris with his bagpipes!
Tuesday we made our own tacos and MOST of us liked them!
Wednesday we did not have a chance to complete our artwork for the hallway.
On Thursday we had art with Miss RoseAnne!
Friday is Family Day! Thank you everyone for coming!
Thank you to all of our readers, Aiden Ball, Abbie Cronkite and Myles Mitchell!
