Hello from Grand Teton.
This week we talked about ladybugs and bees. We looked for and found ladybugs and bees around our room. We found them on our Spring mural and in our feely box too We had fun trying on our ladybug headband and looking in the mirror. We sang, “Bringing Home a Baby Bumblebee,” and a ladybug counting song. We have been watching a ladybug sponge grow in water too! We put a puzzle together with different bugs and insects on it.
We also celebrated the Week of the Young Child. We had fun having our own baby music class. We made music in many different ways. We shook our musical shakers, drummed on containers, clapped our hands, used our voices and did a lot of dancing!
Thank you to Phoebe’s mom, Melissa for coming to read to us!! We have been working on our fine and gross motor skills too. We found all different sizes, textures and colors of balls and rolled them to our friends. We have been climbing in and out of the gross motor mat. We used our fine motor and pincher grasp to pull the scarves out of the holes in the container, to sign “More” and “All Done,” and to turn pages in our books.
Reminders: Have you filled out the Parkside survey yet? Please take a few minutes and fill it out here. We value your input!! Have a great weekend!
