What a busy week it has been at Parkside! Last Friday, our pre-k students had their graduation. It’s hard to believe how fast a year goes by! I’m sure as parents you feel the same way, no matter what age your child is. Thank-you to everyone who helped to make this event such a great success!

Graduation always brings feelings of celebration for the children as well as the families, but of course it is a bit saddening to see them leave! We wish all of our pre-k families the best as they start their new adventures, and hope to see them again in August for our End of the Year event! 🙂 Please don’t forget our end of the year event will be on August 22nd with a rain date of August 21st (so we’ll have it a day earlier if we hear it’s supposed to rain on Friday).

***Please remember we need a written 30 day notice from when your child’s last day will be. For example, if your child’s last day is August 27th please give us notice by July 27th. Please stop by the office to write out a notice or e-mail us your notice if you haven’t yet done so (jen@parksideclc.com or director@parksideclc.com).

We would also like to thank all of you who have stopped by to express by to express your support with the changes in our management team as well as in our pre-k classrooms. There will be changes in our toddler and two year old rooms after we return from vacation. Miss Mackenzie, who is one of the assistant teachers in the Yellowstone room, has decided to return to school to continue her degree in elementary education. Miss Mallori (who the kids all already know) is going to move into the Yellowstone room, and Miss Cortney will move back to the Sequoia classroom as the Lead Teacher. We are also happy to announce that Miss Kate Robichaud is our new Physical Education teacher! She is a Physical Education teacher at RSU #20 and is also a cheering coach.

We will be closed next week. As always we have BIG plans!! In the Yellowstone classroom we will be moving our bathroom to where the diaper changing area is now. This is going to help make potty training much easier because the bathroom will be more accessible for the kdis and teachers. The new bathroom will include two toilets to help accommodate everyone! Where the Yellowstone bathroom was will be my new office. As well, all of the carpets in the classrooms will be cleaned. This week is also important to provide teachers who work so hard to provide your child with the best care possible, to have a week to rest. We hope you enjoy some time with your child[ren], and family. And hopefully the sun will be shining!

Have a great week!
